With 45 neobanks thriving in MENA, the opportunity for digital banks is clear, and Bank Audi is already leading the charge with “neo” in Lebanon.
As one of the oldest and most prominent financial institutions in Lebanon and globally, Bank Audi has consistently maintained its leadership by embracing innovation and adapting to evolving market dynamics. However, like many traditional banks, it has faced mounting challenges, including the high costs of maintaining physical branches, customer inconvenience, and the unsustainability of legacy models in an increasingly digital world.
Recognizing the need for change, Bank Audi turned its attention to the rising global neobanking trend. With the global neobanking market projected to reach USD 2 trillion by 2030 and over 45 neobanks already thriving in the MENA region, the opportunity was clear. Bank Audi decided to leverage its industry reputation, vast resources, and deep customer trust to create “neo” – Lebanon’s first digital bank.
To turn this ambitious vision into reality, Bank Audi partnered with Codebase Technologies, alongside other leading innovators like Cirrus, IDWise, Areeba, and Infobip. At the heart of this transformation was Codebase Technologies’ Digibanc platform – an award-winning, API-driven, and microservices-based digital banking platform designed for agility, scalability, and innovation.
